Location/Division Specific Information

Patheon is a GMP production site, focused on custom manufacturing of investigational materials for pre-clinical and clinical studies. The size of the site offers a familiar, friendly and collegiate atmosphere that specializes in the combined strengths of high-end R&D and production.

Discover Impactful Work:

As an IT Business Analyst, you will be part of an internal team dedicated to sustain, grow and drive business process improvements across the organization and ensure SAP is adopted across the organization. As part of this team, you will play a meaningful role in bridging the gap between the technical and business aspects of our organization. You will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and communicating business requirements to ensure effective IT solutions are developed and implemented. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills, SAP experience and a deep understanding of both business and IT processes.

A day in the Life:

  • Collaborate with internal customers to understand and document business needs, objectives, and requirements.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of current business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization focusing on the order to cash and procure to pay processes.

  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business process flows, use cases, and functional requirements.

  • Facilitate communication and establish a partnership between business users, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Work with business and IT through the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), i.e., requirement and gap analysis, design process mapping, testing scripting development and testing, deployment, and postproduction.

  • Ensure IT changes are reviewed and accepted globally.

  • Conduct business due diligence on new user initiatives to ensure viability of proceeding; identify benefits and risks; propose recommendations and appropriate risk mitigation solutions for consideration.

  • Develop strategies for any operational efficiencies out of the course of typical customer requirements meetings that have technical perspective.

  • Identify challenges with our customer interfaces; build and implement process changes that improve the overall customer or employee experience.

  • Provide system expertise on questions involving technical integrations that may arise in day to day operations with our users.

  • Assist in the development and presentation of final work products.

  • Support and/or drive any training associated with the approved changes prior to execution.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Experience

  • Ideally 5+ years of experience working with a team of IT professionals in a very fast-paced, large company environment.

  • Experience of working in a regulated environment. Solid grasp of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Prior experience with GMP and CSV, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of the drug manufacturing process.

  • Demonstrated experience in ERP implementations and support, specifically SAP.

  • Broad knowledge of application software, desktop support and IT security required, including demonstrable experience in interpreting business needs, and translating them into support services.

  • Collaboration within a team structure to make decisions, tackle problems, communicate inside & outside the organization.

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment, inclusive of conflict resolution.

  • Capacity to make recommendations based on area of assigned responsibility. Uses good judgement in capturing input for decisions.

  • Ability to quickly understand and adjust to changing business needs.

  • Advanced Excel skills, proficient in other Office 365 applications and SharePoint

  • Flexible with an ability to effectively work across time zones, in complex projects, and in varied work locations.

  • Collaborative style with a demonstrable ability to work within a matrixed environment and with external customers; an ability to negotiate and Influence outcomes and drive change, both internally and externally.

  • Adhere to OHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.

The payment is made according to the collective agreement of the chemical industry Ö. The monthly gross salary for this position is at least € 5.222,35. Depending on qualifications and experience, an overpayment is possible.

In other countries, the salary will be in accordance to local market. No relocation possible.
