Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing all functions of the facility clinical equipment management program in order to meet the stated mission, vision and values of the North Texas Division of HCA.

It is expected that the supervisor will effectively operate the department, continue the improvement of the department's processes and outcomes, comply with hospital and corporate policy and procedures, efficiently manage finances and resources, promote teamwork and customer satisfaction, and integrate the department services into the organization's overall plan for the delivery of care and service.

  • Provide asset management leadership at 1-2 facilities.

  • Coordination/integration of department services with the hospital’s primary function of clinical equipment management including the facilities equipment entry and exit process.

  • Provide facility oversight and serve as the liaison to Biomedical Services

  • Develop/implement policies/procedures that guide/support the provision of clinical management services

  • Coordinate the implementation and management of the associated software used to manage clinical equipment (currently Agiletrac).

  • Recommend a sufficient number of qualified/competent staff to provide facility services in managing the clinical equipment provision of services

  • Determine the qualifications/competence of personnel

  • Continuously assess/improve department’s performance

  • Maintain/implement quality control programs

  • Provide for the orientation, in-service training and continuing education of staff

  • Recommend space and other resources needed in the provision of services

  • Attendance and timeliness for scheduled hours is an essential job function.

  • Communicate with the Division Director of Asset Management as appropriate.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years.

EDUCATION: Technical degree.
