Senior Technician/Research Technician, Translational DMPK

(Bioanalysis and Biomarkers)

The department of Translational DMPK is currently looking for a dedicated Senior or Research Technician, who wants to be part of a developing team focused on drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) in early drug discovery projects.

Your new role

You will support our drug research projects by delivering quantitative bioanalysis data from in vivo pharmacokinetic screening studies or pharmacological in vivo experiments of potential new drug candidates using Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) techniques. You will also be involved in method development and troubleshooting of sensitive bioanalytical LC-MS assays for small and large molecules. In addition, you will contribute to developing and running highly sensitive assays for biomarker quantification in plasma or other matrices using techniques such as immunoprecipitation followed by LC-MS/MS.

Why is this a great opportunity?

At Lundbeck, we are devoted to finding new treatments for diseases affecting the brain, and DMPK has an important part in optimizing new molecules to have the best drug-like properties. You will have the opportunity to work with bioanalysis of both small molecules and antibodies, as well as biomarkers.

Your contributions in developing new quantitative LC-MS methods and measuring drug candidates in preclinical samples will be key in influencing our research projects to move them forward and making well-informed decisions towards candidate selection.

Your future team

In Translational DMPK we are 16 scientists, technicians and students working together to progress our discovery projects while refining and expanding our DMPK and bioanalytical assays. In your future role, you will contribute to analyzing preclinical samples generated inhouse and at collaborators. We handle both small molecules and antibody drug candidates as well as selected biomarkers using LC-MS as analytical instruments. You will be joining a team working in modern laboratories equipped with a state-of-art mass spectrometry platform tailored with high flexibility to run in an exploratory research environment.

Translational DMPK is a part of the Research organization and located in Valby in the greater Copenhagen area. We are all enthusiastic about our work, and we take time to celebrate both small and great victories. The department covers a board range of responsibilities, offering many development opportunities for someone, who wishes to contribute to the evolving field of DMPK and quantitative bioanalysis.

What you bring to the team

You have experience in developing and running LC-MS based methods for small molecule quantification and preferably also antibodies. Existing knowledge about biomarker quantification and the considerations needed for quantification in biological fluids represents a beneficial attribute. You are comfortable in written and spoken English.

Our promise to you

Lundbeck offers an inspiring workplace with a culture characterized as collaborative – a must to successfully bring our treatments through research and development all the way to commercialization and the people who need them.
