As a member of the Software Development team, you will bring the company’s strategic vision to life; redefining how people live, work, and play!

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the success of the team by facilitating end-to-end design, development, validation, and deployment of the world’s leading internet-connected (IoT) lighting and sensing systems. You will work on a variety of projects. Some will require the development of front-end modules, and others back-end. To be successful you will work with product management and architects to plan and execute the evolution of our customer-centric software systems. Throughout these efforts you will continuously apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to balance the needs of our customers now versus their needs in the long term, and change how users experience lighting.

Ideal candidate will reside within the Atlanta, GA area.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Develop system designs, specifications, implementation details and code for new features connecting cloud and mobile components.

  • Actively participate in software design decision making to create new innovative IoT lighting solutions and customer experiences.

  • Participate in peer code reviews and provide guidance to other team members as the subject matter expert.

  • Develop code using Typescript, JavaScript, React, .NET (C#), etc.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent

  • 4+ Experience with Front-End Software Design and Development

  • Proficient using JavaScript and React to develop Front-End Components

  • Working knowledge of .NET (C#)

  • Extensive knowledge of debugging practices

  • Proficient knowledge of software engineering best practices

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Mentoring other team members and working with offshore teams – Highly Preferred

  • Experience with TypeScript and Redux

  • Proven experience with Back-End Software Design and Development

  • Experience with modern Datastores and SQL

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Azure DevOps

  • Understanding of SCRUM methodologies

  • Experience with Test-Driven Development

  • Xamarin/MAUI

The range for this position is $112,200.00 to $252,200.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
