JPMorgan Chase Small Business Administration Officer Senior in Columbus, Ohio

Are you passionate as a Small Business Administration Solutions Officer Senior in Business Banking? As a SBA Solutions Officer Senior, you will have the responsibility to determine whether SBA credit applications meet eligibility guideline for new and existing SBA borrowers. As a Small Business Administration Solutions Officer Senior in Business Banking, you will play a crucial role in providing SBA product support. You will be the go-to person for technical, processing, and procedural support for the Business Loan Centers. Your key responsibility will be to determine if Small Business Administration (SBA) credit applications meet eligibility guidelines for both new and existing SBA borrowers. This role offers you the opportunity to leverage your skills and make a significant impact in our business banking operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on SBA Express and small 7a loans at both BLC and CSC loan centers

  • Act as primary point of client contact during the SBA eligibility phase of the process which includes obtaining critical documentation

  • Monitor loans in pipeline and collaborate with internal partners during post-approval to facilitate timely closing and client satisfaction

  • Adhere to defined processes to insure appropriate support of SBA products

  • Prepare fair and accurate Loan Comparison Tools for SBA Solutions Consultants

  • Structure and price loans for all SBA transactions adhering to bank policies and government regulations

  • Monitor loans in pipeline and collaborate with internal partners during post-approval to facilitate timely closing and client satisfaction

  • Manage equipment evaluation process for Business Banking

  • Serve as mentor for less experienced Solutions Officers

  • Assist in providing initial and follow-up training of newly hired SBA Solutions staff on SBA products and processes

  • Provide product expertise to BRM as needed

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Ability to identify opportunities and issues by asking targeted questions to assess current client needs and goals

  • Results-oriented, customer-focused with a bias for action and sense of urgency

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Maintain strong communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externally

  • Proven negotiating and business credit skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3-5 years of SBA or related background in relationship development

  • Robust understanding of SBA programs along with industry standards and rules/regulations strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Marketing or related business field or equivalent work experience
