Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Administrator to join our team to join our Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit. This position would be based in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.

This role requires an extensive background in VMware NSX continuous virtualization fabric. The selected candidate will be responsible for working with a team of SA's, SW, and HW engineers to successfully implement and manage a high-performance data processing center. This position requires extensive knowledge of VMware NSX software-defined networking and architectures.

This position does allow for hybrid work 1-2 days a week with 3-4 days a week onsite.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's degree; 8 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's degree; An additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree (High School diploma or equivalent is required with additional experience)

  • Must have an Active Secret DoD security clearance

  • Experience with Red Hat Linux

  • Experience with VMware ESX and VMware NSX to implement a continuous virtualization fabric.

  • Successfully delivered on past programs or projects implementing NSX.

  • Experience with NSX firewalls.

  • Experience with network traffic shaping.

  • Ability to plan, design, implement, and maintain a physical and virtual network environment.

  • Knowledge of routing protocols, employment of distributed logical routers and firewalls, and network micro-segmentation.

  • Technical expertise with Cisco and/or VMware NSX devices and technologies and available products.

  • CompTIA Network+ CompTIA Security Preferred Qualifications

  • VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization

  • Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator

  • Software Defined Network Management

  • (ISC2) Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

  • (ISC2) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

  • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)

Salary Range: $109,900 - $164,900

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
