Door Shop Manager

Compensation for the job varies between $45,000-60,000 annually an hour based upon prior experience. Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Door Shop Supervisor to lead our door manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of door production processes, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products. The Door Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process, managing a team, and ensuring the timely and efficient production of doors.

Responsibilities: 1. Production Oversight: - Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the door manufacturing facility. - Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

  1. Team Management:
  • Lead, motivate, and train a team of production staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct performance reviews, address employee concerns, and promote professional development.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Investigate and address any product defects or deviations from specifications. Incorporate in line quality control procedures.
  1. Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and manage raw material inventory levels to ensure continuous production.
  • Coordinate with suppliers & the General Manager to optimize material sourcing and cost-effectiveness. Be sure items like hinges and jambs never run out. Monitor usage daily. Re-order as needed.
  1. Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a secure working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards promptly. Be sure all Machines are in tip top shape and have sharpened bits and drills. Clean Machines at the end of every shift.

Qualifications: - Proven experience in a managerial role within a door manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge of door production processes, materials, and industry standards. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team. - Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. - Familiarity with safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. Safety First attitude. People matter the most ! - Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and other departments. Conduct meetings to line out the daily build every day. Planning for overtime work should be managed accordingly and planned days in advance.

Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or GED - Minimum of [3-4] years of experience in door manufacturing or a related industry. - Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role. ( 2 years)
