Job Description:Tesh is seeking an individual to support people with various disabilities in community employment settings learn and maintain employment. The Job Coach works both with the employer and the new employee, teaching the employee how to do the job and ensuring that employer standards are met. We are currently seeking full and part-time Job Coaches to provide on-the-job coaching and support to people with disabilities. About Tesh:We are a nationally accredited private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing child development, independent living, and employment choices and training to people of all ages with disabilities seeking greater independence, self-sufficiency, and participation in our community. We have served over 20,000 children and adults with disabilities since 1976.

Currently, we have full-time and part-time positions available in the Coeur dAlene, Rathdrum, Athol, and Post Falls area. You want flexibility, we make it happen! Anytime any day any shift.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Learn essential job duties for the position to which our client has been hired.
  • Assist the client worker to build their efficiency and independence on the job.
  • Maintain on-going, regular contact with client worker and the employer to identify and facilitate necessary supports.
  • Help workers develop healthy working relationships by encouraging appropriate social interactions with customers, co-workers, and management.
  • Assist in determining if reasonable accommodations are needed for worker to perform essential duties of the job.
  • Develop and implement individualized training plans.
  • Attend meetings with the referring agency and other members of the clients team.
  • Complete mandated paperwork on time
  • Ensure client files are up to date.
  • Participate on the quality assurance committee.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is required to maintain employment in this position.
  • Complete at least 12 hours each year of initial and on-going training for Developmental Therapy and participant specific needs.
  • Current driver\'s license, current insurance, and use of operable vehicle.
  • Criminal history report and fingerprinting will be completed prior to employment.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed for a job site.
  • Must be able to stand for at least three hours.
  • Must be comfortable working in Microsoft Office Platform.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time and part-time positions are available, actual schedule will be based on case load assigned and supports required.
  • Days and hours may vary and may include occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Weekly schedule typically known the prior week; however, schedule must be flexible.

Position Type:Full-Time/Part-Time

Wage:

  • Starting wage \$15 per hour.
  • This position is entitled to overtime when over 40 hours are worked within one work week; overtime is not expected.

Benefits:

  • If a person works an average of 25 hours/week for three months, they will be eligible for pro-rated health care benefits including medical, dental, & vision.
  • Paid holiday, sick, and vacation also pro-rated.
  • If working 36 hours/week or more, eligible for full benefits. \$300 Sign on Bonus after 90 Days for Full Time \$150 Sign on Bonus after 90 Days Part Time
