This role in summary

We're glad to see that you're interested in pursuing a career as a Sr. CMM Operator with Whirlpool Cleveland Operations. Whirlpool prides itself on selecting great talent with the necessary leadership requirements and qualifications to achieve greatness.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Expert CMM programmer level with ability to develop and write CMM programs using PC.DMIS for PPAP, FPP, Engineering Projects, CPM, WPS, and OPEX projects

  • Create CMM programs for all new parts and update old programs as new requirements are identified (whole part layout to be provided along with the agreed to short program for critical measurements

  • Create programs for all new parts and update old programs as new requirements are identified

  • Ensure all CMM machines are calibrated and all tips and tools are calibrated quarterly and machine certification is up to date

  • Maintain database of fabricated part measurements including Cp and Cpk; insure linkage between PC-Demis and QC-CALC are maintained

Minimum requirements

  • Two year Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate with at least five years CMM programming experience

  • Proficient use of Google Tools, MS Excel/Word, Creo, Autocad, this includes data entty and analysis (charts, graphs, etc)

  • Expert in the use of PC DMIS software; must have completed all levels of programming training

  • Must be able to communicate and receive communications regarding safety components and job instruction

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Effectively communicate to all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrates Leadership Attributes

  • Good decision making and judgment skills

  • Familiarity with OPEX (Six Sigma) methods or WPS

  • Expert Technical understanding of CMM equipment operation and programming for measurement arms, laser, scanners, probing, and robotic systems

  • Familiar with Polyworks, and other laser scanning software

  • Expert in the use of Creo2 Paramatic to look up 3D models

  • Proficient in GD&T
