Cleveland Clinic Research Student II in Cleveland, Ohio

While working closely with research personnel, you will participate actively in a structured learning experience in the laboratory or clinical research setting. You will gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical settings, data collection and analysis and/or other related skills to explore careers in biomedical and/or clinical research. This undergraduate student will work in Dr. Berkner's laboratory in the Lerner Research Institute. The Kathleen Berkner lab studies gamma-glutamyl carboxylation of vitamin K-dependent proteins. This is a temporary position with a start date of 10/01/2024

A caregiver in this position works 8:30am--4:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Learn laboratory techniques to support ongoing research projects in the laboratory or clinical setting with minimal supervision

  • Learn how to record and analyze data related to research experiments or other data sets with minimal supervision.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Undergraduate degree.

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university as a medical student, MA/MS student or other graduate program student. (EXCLUDES students in a PhD program)

  • This position is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Previous research laboratory experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal physical requirements include good near visual acuity and color acuity.
