Description Position Summary The research associate will support the Cardiovascular Imaging Core Laboratory, which is an academic research division providing analysis and interpretation of invasive and noninvasive cardiovascular imaging modalities related to research trials. Essential Functions Directly involved with sponsored and non-sponsored research trials related to various aspects of invasive imaging modalities such as, Optical coherence tomography (OCT), Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), quantitative coronary analysis (QCA), and angiography. Directly involved with non-invasive modalities such as, computed tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and echocardiography (ECHO) related to research trials. Supports and collaborates with UH Cardiology physicians, cardiovascular fellows, medical students and other UH scientists on research projects. Assists with research workshops, academic research collaborations with Universities and animal laboratory research. Assists with SOP development, grant and protocol development, along with active participation in preparation of manuscripts, abstracts and presentations for scientific publications.
