Aston Carter Controller in Clayton, North Carolina
Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on management of the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances
Navigate complex accounting topics including POC Revenue Recognition
Prepare annual budget and monthly forecast updates
Manage and control costs across the business
Recommend, develop, and implement new practices, procedures, and systems to improve operating efficiency, reporting capabilities, and internal controls
Manage the A/R and A/P operations fostering best-in-class processes and preserving cash management position with Corporate
Coordinate with Corporate Accounting concerning annual financial audit requests and semi-annual internal audits
Monitor inventory reporting and controls, including analysis of inventory reserves and slow-moving inventory balances
Assist with annual physical inventory, ensuring accurate reporting of results
Assist in the development of new business by analyzing the feasibility of new programs and processes
Assist the Director of Operations with financial analysis of programs and processes; assist with special projects, ad hoc analysis, and other areas of finance as needed
Requirements:
Manufacturing Experience
Strong foundation in accounting, audit, and finance
Solid accounting and reporting experience - solid budgeting and forecasting experience
Must be comfortable presenting financial findings to leadership and making recommendations for change based on variance/trend analysis
Superior communication and organization skills
Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
