Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Receptionist in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role is within the healthcare industry where you will be the first point of contact for patients and handle various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Managing incoming phone calls, screening them as necessary.

• Welcoming patients and assisting with their registration process.

• Maintaining and updating patient files in an organized manner.

• Overseeing the checkout process, which includes reviewing data on encounter forms.

• Collecting co-payments from patients and scheduling their follow-up appointments.

• Conducting daily bank deposits and undertaking end-of-day reconciliation tasks.

• Utilizing various EMR systems including Epic EMR for patient registration and other tasks.

• Some roles may require you to complete charge/receipt-entry and summaries for all services offered in the office.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role for a minimum of one year

• Proficiency in using EMR - Electronic Medical Records

• Advanced knowledge of medical front office operations

• Familiarity with patient registration processes

• Experience working with Epic or a similar EMR system

• Ability to play the role of a patient registrar effectively

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality of work

• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
