REXNORD INDUSTRIES LLC Manufacturing Engineer II in Cincinnati, Ohio
Position Summary: Develop and improve various manufacturing processes for Coupling business based on product design & latest machining technologies, working closely with product design engineers, sourcing, quality, vendors, subcontractors and machine manufacturers.Ideal candidate is someone with experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing with a strong customer focused approach. Major Responsibilities: Evaluate & develop manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, machining, assembly, material flow, tooling, and inspection; working with internal cross-functional team & equipment vendors; soliciting inputs from operators. Lead & Support standardization and complexity reduction. Develop and design of processes and equipment for mixed models in a high mix low volume environment with a focus on line balancing and mixed model sequencing Development of tooling, CNC programs, material flow & presentation, assembly processes, standard work, and line balancing, to establish one piece flow on mixed product lines. Lead/support Material Cost Out (MCO) and Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) projects. Work with SMED & projects addressing OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Participate and provide inputs in design reviews of New Product Development (NPD) Support product and manufacturing transfers and restructuring projects. Demonstrated understanding and application Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, Line Balancing, Gemba and Structured Problem Solving in line with Regal Business System. Lead/support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects and Kaizen events. Work with cross functional & leadership team towards achieving business objectives & financial targets by addressing/improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth (SQDCG). Follow Regal Rexnord Ethics and Safety Programs Follow Environmental Compliance Programs Adhere to all export, import and supply chain security policy requirements relevant to the position Perform other assignments as directed by manager Required Education / Experience / Skills: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field, and advanced degree is preferred. A two year engineering or technical degree and 5+ years of relevant and demonstrated work experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Minimum 5 years related work experience in an industrial/manufacturing company required, preferably in machining. Ability to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications CAD experience (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred) Ability to coordinate activities and influence others in a cross-functional environment Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision Hands on oriented, being where the work is Undertake work in an efficient and timely manner Customer focus Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good project management Experience with Oracle or equivalent ERP system Lean or Lean, Six Sigma Certification Preferred (Yellow, Green, or Black Belt) Material flow, lineside presentation, & logistics skills a plus Salary Range: $80,000 -$95,000 annually.
