Job Overview To this end, the Science and Health Department at UC Clermont College seeks applications for a full-time, educator-track faculty position in the area of Surgical Technology. Essential Functions Educator-track faculty responsibilities include the following: Teaching twelve (12) contact-hours for three semesters (Fall, Spring, Summer), for a total of 36 contact hours annually. This individual should expect to focus on teaching surgical technology courses in face to face, online, and hybrid formats, but may be asked to teach other courses as requested Responding to student inquiries in a timely manner, posting and keeping of office hours convenient to students, and/or by appointment. Academic advising of students Participating in ongoing scholarship/research/professional development Participating in service to the department, college, university, and community Serve as the Surgical Technology Program Clinical Coordinator. This involves general oversight of the clinical portion of the program including but not limited to: maintaining all required documentation for students, obtaining clinical placements for new students, maintaining strong relationships with clinical agencies, performing clinical site visits and documenting outcomes, facilitating the resolution of student and clinical site issues that may arise, maintaining 100% compliance with all accreditation guidelines in clinical aspects of the Surgical Technology program. Minimum Requirements Minimum Qualifications for Instructor-Educator: Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology. Current status as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). Bachelor's Degree completed or in progress in health-related area. At least three years postsecondary instructional experience and/or clinical precepting experience and three years clinical experience as a CST.
