Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role falls within the industry of financial services and it involves performing a variety of financial, administrative, and clerical tasks. The successful candidate will be part of a team that ensures the smooth running of the Accounts Payable department and contributes to the company's overall financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process payments to vendors in a timely and accurate manner

• Engage in regular correspondence with vendors to respond to inquiries, resolve issues and maintain strong relationships

• Prepare and review documents related to job invoices, ensuring all details are correct and complete

• Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling bank statements and processing journal entries

• Process journal entries and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, providing data and insights that contribute to company decision-making

• Provide support for other office duties as required, including handling incoming calls and managing the front desk

• Perform any other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team success

Throughout these tasks, it will be important to utilize skills in Microsoft Excel, Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliations, Billing Functions, Month End Close, General Ledger, and Journal Entries. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) tasks, including invoice processing and vendor communication.

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Experience with Billing Functions, including creating, sending, and tracking invoices.

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures, including preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Knowledge of General Ledger operations, including posting transactions and maintaining accounts.

• Experience with Journal Entries, including recording business transactions and adjusting entries.
