Certified Medical Technologist II, Third Shift, Microbiology Department UC Health is hiring a PRN Certified Medical Technologist II for the microbiology department for a third shift, Saturday/Sunday only position at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The Certified Medical Technologist II performs routine and complex laboratory analyses, identifies and corrects problems developing alternatives when necessary, stays current in laboratory theory and technique, and assumes responsibility for problem solving. Requires the exercise of independent judgment and interpretation. • Minimum Required: Associate's or bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology OR Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, microbiology, etc. from an accredited institution.
• Required: MT (ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent
• Minimum Required: One year experience in a full service laboratory
• Required: Knowledge of specimen requirements; must be familiar with laboratory terminology, laboratory assay schedules and expected turnaround times; ability to read and comprehend written information; ability to effectively and efficiently perform a variety of job duties in a stressful, fast paced environment.
• Preferred: Keyboarding skills.
