Copeland Warehouse Coordinator III in Chihuahua, Mexico

Responsibilities:

* Safety and Supervision of Personnel

  • Train, communicate, maintain and follow up on Safety issues related to the warehouse

  • Conduct a daily start up meeting with direct reports and ensure proper communication

  • Supervise the direct reports, balance workload and ensure the activities are executed on daily basis

  • Monitor and promote discipline of personnel in all aspects of Safety, Quality and internal control

  • Ensure an efficient and productive start up and closure of operations durign the shift

  • Ensure the continuity of the activities on a daily basis through the next shift

* Receiving and Storage of Purchase Parts

  • Supervise the traffic and control of productive material, both for purchase parts and finished goods

  • Follow up on critical parts, including the interaction with Supplier Quality department for material inspected

  • Documentation of receiving discrepancies and communication to Buyers/El Paso/Suppliers

  • Monitoring and follow up of materials in Outside Processing status

  • Inspection of the Receiving Route within JDE and resolution of aged ítems on a frequent basis

  • Inspection of the Location PA1 and resolution of aged ítems on a frequent basis

* Inventory Accuracy

- Analyze the reports of inventory transactions

  • Maintain the accuracy of warehouse inventory in levels higher than 98%

  • Ensure the execution of internal count validations within the warehouse

  • Verification of discrepancies found, analysis of root cause and feedback to users

  • Validate with the Cycle Counts team the discrepancies detected during the oficial count program

  • Follow up on the purchase parts that are handled through the scheme of Kanban Box with suppliers

* New Models and Engineering Changes

  • Coordinate activities needed in the warehouse related to engineering changes

  • Coordinate activities needed in the warehouse related to new products introduction

* Shipping

  • Generate the transportation orders within SCO system for the pickup of materials and shipping of FG

  • Prepare the logistic for the daily export shipments, including availability and movement of conveyances

  • Coordinate the shipments of all types (finished goods, purchase parts, scrap, samples, supplier returns,etc)

  • Ensure the documentation of shipping evidences on a daily basis

  • Inspection of the Shipping Route within JDE and resolution of aged ítems with special focus on month ends

* Quality Systems

  • Ensure adherence to the quality procedures aplicable for the material handling áreas

  • Facilitate and follow up to the FIFO control of the purchased parts within the warehouse

  • Generate, maintain and update detailed operation instructions for the warehouse operations

* Purchasing and Control of Services

  • Establish a maintenance program for the equipment used in the warehouse

  • Generate Purchase Orders as required for the área, such as transportation, warehousing, maintenance, etc

  • Release the payment of such services on a frequent basis when the services have been rendered and invoiced

* Supply of Productive Material to Production Floor

  • Supervise the flow of purchase parts into the production floor to comply with the production plans

  • Reconcile and resolve problems of supply to production floor, interacting with production coordinators

  • Follow up on the Two Bin Kanban (Pull System) interacting with Industrial Engineering

  • Inspect the transaction in the JDE system, registering and analyzing any discrepancies found

* Others

  • Attend meetings with internal and external suppliers and customers

  • Coordinate the monitoring, reception, cleaning and supply of returnable dunnage to the productive floor

  • Ensure the compliance of the Record Retention policy within the material handling áreas

  • Coordinate changes to the layout in response to future needs, new business, restructuring, etc

  • Implementation of continuos improvement related to material handling activitites

  • Implementation and maintenance of KPI’s relevant to the material handling areas

Authority

Authority in the areas of material handling activity including Receiving, Warehousing, supply to production floor and Shipping.

Basic Requirements:

Profesional education with a background in engineering

Domain of english language mínimum 70% in all phases (write/read/speak/listen)

Negotiation abilities

Domain of Office software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint

Knowledge of JDE system

Inventory control experience

Customer Service attitude, experience with interpersonal relations

Desirable requirements:

New products/projects introduction and engineering changes experience

Handling and responses of external audits related to safety, quality and internal control.
