AutoZone, Inc. TRANSPORTATION FREIGHT ANALYST in Chihuahua, Mexico

Summary:

Transportation & Routing Analyst provides support both technical and administrative needs for DataZone Supply Chain Group. Reviews and submits related invoices and will also be required to collect and manage multiple Key Performance Indicator files and DOT employment verification requests for Supply Chain Transportation and Centralized routing group as needed. Analyst will work directly with both Centralized Routing group and each DC transportation team as directed and provides support for both the Centralized Router Team and the SSC Supply Chain Transportation Team.

Generates reports, statistics, and supports of our Distribution centers by resolving issues/concerns with routing while coaching team members. Will hold on-going trainings, create, update, and implement training guides as new acquired talent joins the team while working closely with area supervisor. Reviews and submits transportation related invoices for payment, or to the distribution centers for approval, to ensure vendors are paid timely and expenses are properly accounted for.

Transportation & Routing Analyst monitors both FedEx LTL and Air Freight claims for product damage or lost freight, utilizes necessary tools for process improvement while organizing information to optimize and improve reporting for higher management. Schedule flexibility to cover vacations/sick leaves or as business necessities demand. Will work directly with each DC transportation team, SSC/DZ management to provide support for the private fleet as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Centralized Routing & dispatch team with the ability to route effectively to achieve daily, weekly & period metrics, while maintaining reporting requirements for each DC.

  • Able to communicate verbally and written with SSC, DZ, DC management in regard to day-to-day operations, driver availability and/or DC capacity.

  • Develop strong relationships with each DC Transportation department to ensure optimal routing solutions.

  • Follow up with mail requisitions regarding routing changes, such as overflow, backhauls or Adhoc requests

  • Help on the development of less experienced AutoZoners, assist in new hire training and development

  • Analyzes and develops tools and reporting, to improve current processes and implement best practices

  • With limited supervision deliver desired and sustainable high-level business reporting and analysis.

  • Responsible for the development, maintenance, and testing of AutoZone’s reporting and analysis operations.

  • Provide high-level reporting and analysis support to customers and business users.

  • Understand tasks assigned and propose solutions with limited supervision.

  • Responsible for own changes and fully accountable for report functionality and data integrity.

  • Accurate work planning and execution; accurate project and time tracking.

  • Model data that prevents duplicating processes.

  • Provide feedback and possible direction to peers to ensure the team is delivering the desired results.

  • Support customers and business users by applying domain knowledge, solving problems and mid-level training peers.

  • Responsible for driver hiring PSP reports, DOT employment verifications, Tracks and resolves both Fed Ex air and freight claims documentation such as damage claims, including but not limited to, LTL, FedEx, and Air Freight Works directly with store personnel, management, and commercial departments to steer final settlement of pricing for damaged freight.

  • Handles vendor invoices such as rental trucks and trailers, toll bills, citations, etc., for the distribution centers.

  • Audits for billing errors and corrects issues prior to processing for payment

    Requirements:

  • Level of formal education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.

  • Area of study: Supply chain, administration, engineering, business, computer systems, information technology, communication, marketing

  • Years of experience:3-5 years

  • Type of experience:

  • Supply chain, automotive industry, data entry/analysis, process management, business management

  • English language background, Skilled in data analysis and information systems management. MS Excel. Problem solving. Quick learning & retention.

  • High attention to detail. Leadership, communication, negotiation, presentation/training, writing/reporting, organizational, time-management, and self-management skills

  • High business knowledge to propose solutions and deliver desired results.

  • Technical skills may include high-level experience with one or more of: WebFOCUS, SAS, SQL, Crystal Reports and/or BI Tools.

  • Will have limited technical supervision to complete tasks.

  • High-level problem solving and analytical skills to provide ad-hoc reporting to users

    Other/preferred: Routing delivery knowledge in supply chain business
