Emily Krous is working with a client to fill a direct hire role:

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Chico, California. This role is primarily involved in coordinating the activities of team members responsible for general ledger recording and managing revenue audits, accounts payable, and payroll functions in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide all accounting and auditing team members effectively.

• Compile and analyze financial data to prepare general ledger entries and accounting reports.

• Conduct account reconciliation and perform necessary reconciliations for various activities.

• Oversee and maintain accounting subsystems, ensuring alignment with the general ledger.

• Analyze accounts reserves, fixed assets, and other general ledger accounts and provide recommendations based on findings.

• Ensure the timely completion and accuracy of financial statements.

• Advise management with timely reviews of financial information and evaluations of departmental expenses.

• Prepare and maintain budgets for assigned departments, aligning with management objectives.

• Coordinate auditing functions and manage activities of external auditors.

• Prepare and submit reports required by regulatory agencies and ensure timely payment of agency fees.

• Maintain effective communication with management and participate in required meetings.

• Safeguard and enhance the company's assets and perform other reconciliation tasks or responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with BlackLine and Concur software

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to manage all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skills in Auditing processes

• Experience in managing Billing Functions

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• Experience in a managerial role within the accounting field is preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required
