Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 4:30:00 PM)

Summary:

Under general supervision, reporting directly to the Manager Revenue Cycle Performance, the Sr Revenue Cycle Partner serves as a liaison between revenue cycle and clinical practices. The Partner will have and grow a high level of revenue cycle knowledge including Rush specific processes and industry best practices. The Partner will monitor area KPIs, drive KPI improvement, provide customer service to clinical areas including best practice coaching/mentorship, assistance in investigate issues and concerns, and facilitation of change/problem resolution between Revenue Cycle departments, Clinical Areas, and Information Technology. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clinical partners

  • Serves as a revenue cycle best practice expert and liaison to clinical practices

  • Maintain a high degree of operational knowledge as it relates to clinical operations, revenue cycle, new business development, and reimbursement.

  • Drive new business architecture and set-up

  • Excellent communication at executive and frontline levels

  • Liaise between internal/external customers and Information Technology for business definition, scope, testing and implementation to ensure quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and customer knowledge to improve business practices.

  • Project Manage incoming queries and issues related to revenue cycle management, to include, but not limited to, patient access and registration, collections and reimbursement, patient customer service, business development, reporting and analytics.

  • Facilitate performance improvement (A3) sessions with stakeholders to accelerate improvement

  • Manages customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on project results

  • Onboard new practice leaders to Rush revenue cycle operations and expectations

  • Build and develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized outcomes, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and thoughtful recommendations

  • Confidently present data, information, and opportunities with a high level of expertise to leaders of all levels

  • Monitors key revenue cycle metrics for assigned areas

  • Conducting assessments including interviews/research/observation as necessary to understand current practices and determine possible areas for improvement

  • In partnership with Revenue Cycle and practice colleagues, identify trends and address operational, financial and technological opportunities for improvement

  • Leads improvement projects aimed at KPI improvement

  • Mentors’ others in Revenue Cycle best practices

  • Coordinate and lead regular meetings to help devise strategies to improve outcomes

  • Utilizes business intelligence (BI) tools, dashboards, and reports to provide for basic reporting requests and needs.

  • Run ad hoc reports on behalf of department and customers, perform data analysis to answer business questions

  • Perform ad hoc account-level review to evaluate potential opportunities/defects

  • Demonstrate desire to continuously improve skills through professional development efforts.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, accounting, finance or related field; or equivalent years of relevant experience in addition to the minimum requirements.

• 5-7 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.

• Experience with Epic Revenue Cycle modules, Certification preferred

• Project Management experience, certification preferred

• High-level analytical and financial reporting skills

• Excellent time management and organizational ability.

• Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects and meet constant deadlines.

• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills.

• Strong written and oral communications skills essential.

• Experience with SharePoint

• Project Management Certification

• Lean Management Certification

• Epic Revenue Cycle Certification
