Remote Opportunity - Open to candidates anywhere in the Greater United States

SUMMARY:

The Sr. Dir. Medical Affairs Future Product Portfolio will secure US medical insights for assessment of global Lundbeck BD opportunities and pipeline clinical development. Furthermore, the Sr Med Dir will build the US MA's future product medical insights capabilities and partner with Lundbeck US cross-functional teams, especially Digital & Data Analytics function, to accelerate needed infrastructure within US Medical Affairs. We seek a senior, strategic and highly adaptable candidate, with previous experience in working with new product and pipeline planning, who can lead rapidly evolving strategic Medical Affairs go-to-market initiatives, including potential expansion into new specialty/rare brain diseases therapeutic areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Future Product Portfolio : Provide Medical insights for BD/pipeline & ensure effective go-to-market for Med Aff.

  • Lead medical insights generation in BD and pipeline assets evaluation, including US medical due diligence by engaging US KOLs in relevant therapeutic areas, consolidating and communicating key US clinical practice and healthcare system insights

  • Liaise with US New Product Planning team to ensure effective cross-functional execution pre- and post-launch (for BD opportunities, novel pipeline assets & US indication expansions)

  • Drive US medical strategy and planning for pipeline products by directing medical resource allocation, establishing US scientific narratives and developing US scientific communication plans in collaboration with US Medical Strategy Teams for relevant therapeutic areas

  • Support global clinical development and ensure US launch excellence by engaging investigators, developing scientific messaging, and providing scientific support for US HCPs and payers ahead of launch

  • Next-Gen Med Affairs Op Model : Build US Medical Affairs capabilities needed to be a leader in specialty/rare brain diseases therapeutic areas and deliver highest medical impact for future Lundbeck portfolio

  • Design the infrastructure for US Med Aff. capabilities to drive impact in rare/specialty indications

  • Amplify medical stakeholders engagement strategies specifically tailored to building partnerships in go-to-market models for rare brain diseases therapeutic areas

  • Liaise with Lundbeck US omni-channel/digital/data analytics teams, helping ensure effective design and utilization of tools and communications for medical teams (e.g. digital outreach, AI pilots)

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:

  • Accredited advanced scientific degree required (MD, PhD, PharmD)

  • 10+ years relevant healthcare experience, including 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience with at least 3+ years of experience working with new product planning

  • Senior level leadership experience in a Medical Affairs context

  • Ability to work with cross-functional peers including R&D, commercial, digital and technology leaders

  • Strong knowledge of Medical Strategy Planning, Scientific Communications & KOL engagements models

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:

  • Experience within brain diseases therapeutic areas, with Neurology and rare diseases in focus

  • Previous leadership experience at the level of managing people managers (Sr Med Dir level)

  • Knowledge and experience with digital communication channels and data analytics, including omnichannel experience and interest in cutting edge technology, e.g. AI/ML

TRAVEL:

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 30% domestically. International travel may be required.

The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.Salary Pay Range:$240,000 - $290,000andeligibilityfor a35%bonustargetbased on company and individual performance,and eligibilityto participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan.Benefits for this position include flexible paid time off (PTO), health benefits to include Medical, Dental and Vision, and company match 401k.Additional benefits information can be found onour site .
