JPMorgan Chase Financial Planning & Analysis Senior Associate in Chicago, Illinois

The Commercial Banking Finance & Business Management team supports Middle Office organization and is looking for someone who has penchant for story-telling with financial data and is detail oriented, organized, strategic, analytical and energetic. This is a high-impact opportunity on our Finance & Business Management team ensuring senior management across Commercial Bank have visibility into major initiatives, business metrics and financials to achieve their strategic objectives.

As a Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Associate within the Commercial Bank Middle Office team, you will be providing support to senior Business and Operations leaders and key partners across Commercial Bank Finance, Business Management, Data & Analytics, and Project Management teams to ensure effective end-to-end execution. Your responsibilities will include financial reporting, forecasting and planning, with a particular focus on staffing models, expenses & headcount, and allocation processes.

Job responsibilities

  • Detail headcount tracking to ensure accurate Position Management/Requisition approvals and reconciliation against current budget and outlook

  • Partner with Middle Office leadership and Commercial Bank Finance & Business Management teams to generate monthly, annual, and multi-year forecast headcount and direct expenses

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reporting packages

  • Take analysis and create executive level presentation using PowerPoint PitchPro+ Coordinate deliverables with business managers, finance, project managers and other Finance & Business Management teams

  • Analyze large amounts of data, assess KPI trends, and create impactful analysis to assist in developing strategy

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4+ years of experience in financial data analysis and story-telling

  • Ability to work collaboratively; develop strong partnership with multiple levels of employees

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to tell the story on financials and initiatives

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to produce successful results in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with business stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail and solid work ethic

  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills with ability to interpret and present complex data

  • Mature, independent, highly organized, self-motivated and a team player

  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of or experience with Alteryx, BI tools, databases, and SQL Querying
