Actalent Electrical Engineer in Chicago, Illinois

A full-service Architecture and Engineering firm in Chicago is looking to add multiple Electrical Engineers to their team!

Job Description:

The Electrical Engineer will work in a highly collaborative environment on a wide range of projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing building electrical systems. The Engineer will be responsible for performing technical calculations and design, understanding the project requirements and the effort required to complete the work and applying critical thinking to quickly recognize issues and be part of the solution.

  • Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids

  • Research and apply building code, regulatory and industry code requirements

  • Prepare electrical design calculations, utilize electrical and lighting design software

  • Responsible for supporting the electrical engineering design work on assigned projects under the guidance of senior staff

  • Coordinating with multiple disciplines and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule

  • Develops designs within a BIM design environment

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering

  • 1+ years of post-graduate experience

  • Revit proficiency
