Robert Half Business Analyst - 2 in Chicago, Illinois

Description We are seeking a Business Analyst for our team located in Chicago, Illinois. This role is an important link between our business clients, software development, and other teams, providing critical insights and solutions throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity that involves working in a hybrid or fully remote setting.

Responsibilities:

• Act as an advocate for our business clients throughout all stages of the project development lifecycle.

• Identify core business issues and map out potential solutions to drive the development of the business case.

• Develop detailed requirements of solutions to meet the business needs.

• Monitor the progress of the solution development to ensure it aligns with the agreed requirements.

• Resolve any conflicts arising due to technical deviations from the agreed requirements.

• Collaborate closely with the project and business teams to execute testing and ensure issues are identified and fully resolved prior to roll out.

• Utilize strong communication skills to coordinate and deliver requirements documentation, test case development, and test case execution.

• Take initiative to proactively identify and meet needs and refer out of guideline/complex issues.

• Contribute to small/simple projects and may independently perform a small non-complex section of a larger project.

• Analyze and interpret a wide range of issues autonomously, selecting and adapting methods, processes, or tools to meet needs.

• Use Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, for various tasks such as creating charts and graphs, documenting procedures, and managing data with pivot tables.

• Apply business analysis and software development skills to solve problems and improve processes in an agile environment. Requirements • Possess strong communication skills for interaction with various business units and stakeholders

• Proficient in documentation and able to maintain precise records

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint for creating reports, presentations, and data analysis

• Familiarity with business procedures and methods

• Experience in supervising and leading teams towards achieving business goals

• Capability to work efficiently with time management software like 'About Time'

• Understanding of benefit functions and ability to analyze progress

• Ability to create and interpret charts and graphs for data visualization

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites for overall productivity and office tasks

• Knowledge of process improvement techniques and Agile methodologies

• Proven experience in business analysis and providing effective solutions

• Ability to execute plans and strategies effectively

• Responsible for oversight of various business operations and projects

• Experience in leading special projects and working onsite

• Proficiency in creating and working with Pivot Tables in Excel

• Strong problem resolution skills and ability to handle software development tasks
