Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Job Description

The Journeyman E/I will: • Maintain electrical distribution equipment and components • Troubleshoot and replace drives and inverters • Troubleshoot motors, PLC’s, and field instruments such as flowmeters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, solenoids, and switches • Make preventative care rounds and lubricate a limited number of motors • Work with the shift millwright and operators to change motors, valves, etc. as needed • Troubleshoot and repair valves • Work with remote support to troubleshoot drives • Read and interpret PLC logic to help diagnose issues/troubleshoot problems • Tune control loops as needed • Record work results in written log and a computerized maintenance system • Work as part of a team and find solutions to issues and problems • Work safely and help others stay safe • Be able to assist in troubleshooting hydraulics • Communicate on radios and phones as needed to make repairs • Support a safe working environment by maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules • Perform other duties as assigned, 480V, Instrumentation
