Description

We are searching for an Entry Level Accountant to join our team in the Financial Services industry, based in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This role involves assisting in auditing files and processing reconciliations. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Assist in auditing files to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Process reconciliations, verifying and balancing entries and records of financial transactions

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to maintain and update financial data

• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in financial entries, documents, and reports

• Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures

• Liaise with clients and vendors, maintaining positive relationships and addressing inquiries or issues related to financial transactions

• Adhere to federal, state, and company policies, regulations, and standards relating to financial operations

• Conduct analysis of financial data to aid in preparing reports

• Perform bank reconciliations regularly and report any discrepancies to the management.

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in the field of accounting, preferably within the financial services industry

• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to use advanced features such as pivot tables and complex formulas

• Has prior experience with bank reconciliations and is comfortable dealing with large volumes of transactions

• Holds a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Exhibits excellent attention to detail and possesses strong analytical skills

• Has the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely

• Is able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
