Finance Analyst - Fixed Term Contract

Opportunity

Specific Responsibilities

Monthly Reporting

• Creation of monthly P&L statements for result review meetings

• Set up of Daily Sales and Customer Daily Sales Reports

• Completing and sending out Daily Sales Reports

• Maintenance and creation on monthly Cost Centre Reports

• Supporting with the refresh of monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) monthly dashboards

• Maintaining the monthly Sales Report

• Maintaining the monthly Capital Cashflow Report

• Consolidation of our monthly Exec Review pack

• Completion of all brand and group Scorecards for reporting

Commercial Finance

• Analysis of Extended and Overdue position

• Review and reconcile monthly and year to date Net Sales & Net Income Report

• Review and reconcile monthly and year to date Net Sales & Manufacturing Income Report

• Maintaining and reconciling Customer Rail Docs

• Supporting with the Forecasting of Rail Doc positions

• Completing required Balance Sheet Reconciliations

Other

• Be an advocate for Change the Work by supporting projects that will help the Finance function achieve greater levels of flexibility, agility and able to spend more time focusing on value adding tasks

• Work with Global Transformation teams to learn best practices and how these can be applied to the Finance function

• Aligned with the business’s culture and strategic plan, seek continuous improvement in all areas of work to improve efficiency, control and reduce manual/non-valued added work through automation and other “change the work” initiatives

• Work with both the Sales Team and Master Data Team to ensure all customer data is updated and accurate

Skills/Requirements

In addition to exhibiting the Core Competencies of; Build Trust, Drive Continuous Improvement, Focus on End Customer, and Set High Standards of Performance the person must exhibit competency in:

• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail

• Be able to work under general supervision and to tight deadlines

• Adaptability

• Facilitating change

• Professional knowledge and skill

• A minimum of 5 GSCEs (A*- C or 9 - 4) to include English, Maths

• Completion of A Levels (or equivalent) with grades (or predicted grades) equating to 108 UCAS points or above

• SAP and BPC experience would be advantageous

• Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to balance technical capability with commercial delivery and a strong improvement mindset

• Available for occasional travel
