Brio Living Services Career to Care Program-Paid Caregiving Training in Chelsea, Michigan

* Career to Care | Paid training and employment in hands-on care.   *

Interested in exploring the healthcare field, a second career, or are you looking for a new, rewarding experience? Kick-start your health care career with the 'Career to Care' training program!

  • This unique program is designed for those new to the caregiving field or with little to no experience. 
  • Participants of the Career to Care program will be offered paid training which will prepare them to provide direct hands-on care for residents.
  • Upon successful completion of the program, participants will move into a full or part-time caregiver position as a Resident Care Assistant in Assisted Living.

When: August 12-August 16, 5 pm-9 pm

*Where: *Chelsea Retirement Community

 

*Earn while you learn: *

  • Paid one-week, caregiver training at $15.30/hr.
  • Training includes: 
    1. Skills related to providing direct resident care 
    2. Resident rights
    3. Professional engagement with Residents
    4. Competency evaluation via skills practice lab
  • Upon successful completion of the program, placement in a full or part-time position at $18.03/hr.

Caring credentials:

  • Desire to help others
  • No prior caregiving experience
  • Commitment to completion of the program and a minimum of 1-year post-training employment
  • High School diploma/ GED preferred

The Career to Care program operates in partnership with Washtenaw Community College -- Foundations of C.A.R.E Bootcamp: Long-Term Health Care Training, Brio Living Services. Upon successful completion, program participants will receive two (2) continuing education credits at WCC.
