About Us:

Robert Half client is a respected non-profit organization. Our team is committed to making a positive impact in our community, and we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join us in Charlotte, NC. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity to work with a reputable organization and contribute to our mission.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budget reports, and variance analyses for management review.

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

• Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and financial statements.

• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, including training and mentoring as needed.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements in all financial transactions and reporting.

• Utilize QuickBooks software to maintain financial records and produce reports for analysis.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• CPA certification preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in accounting roles, with increasing levels of responsibility.

• Experience working with non-profit organizations or in the non-profit sector is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks software required.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
