SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Develop, configure, and support network devices and solutions to align with Corning’s technology standards and meet the connectivity needs of our businesses.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as network subject matter expert, providing technical expertise, design skills, and expert operational support. Develop, test, implement, document and support data network solutions including:
Providing technical requirements as part of overall network solutions design and development effort
Creating, reviewing and/or vetting technical functional specifications and low-level network solutions design documentation, ensuring those are complete, correct and kept current
Assisting with implementation of new solutions, or upgrades to existing solutions, including communications, preparation of documentation and training
Maintaining and administering networks and related computing environments including software, hardware, and tools
Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures.
Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
Participating in root cause analysis on incidents, helping to drive identification of preventative actions meant to ensure problems don’t recur, and delivering on the tasks within those actions

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
WORK EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of DDI experience, including daily operation task fulfillment and troubleshooting of DDI related issues
1+ years of experience using Infoblox
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of DHCP and IP address management, including administration, monitoring and troubleshooting
Experience in management and troubleshooting of DNS
Experience with Performance Management and Optimization of DNS and DHCP
Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network or network security infrastructure devices
Must be willing to be on call available for after-hours support and an on-call rotation as defined by the team for any of the position responsibilities listed above.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience configuring and using monitoring/alerting/forensic tools such as Auvik, Observian, Nagios, SolarWinds, Splunk, NNMI, HPNA, NetBrain etc.
Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols including BGP and OSPF
Understanding of pertinent frameworks, including ITIL, NIST and COBIT
Knowledge of network security
Global company experience a plus
DIA certificate is a plus
LOCATION & TRAVEL:
Up to 10% travel required, domestic.
This role is a hybrid position. The location can be based in Corning, NY (Hybrid) or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $78,687.00 - $108,195.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
