Acosta Group Compensation Consultant - Contract in Charlotte, North Carolina
DESCRIPTION
The Compensation Consultant will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing a compensation project. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of compensation, who can assist in developing a compensation refresh that includes job titling, leveling, market pricing, and associate mapping. The Compensation Consultant works with the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) and executives across the Company to develop and present compensation alternatives or recommendations while maintaining consistency with the compensation philosophy and guidelines. Recommendations and guidance is often complex and spans multiple business units, sub-companies or as a result of acquisitions. The position requires a high sense of urgency, strong project management skills, strong database management skills, and the ability to deliver accurate work in a highly complex environment. The position requires annual market analysis with associated recommendations and includes geographical differentials, variable pay, sales and incentive plans and other compensation programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead compensation projects that span across the organization that include market pricing, job architecture, incentive/bonus design, salary structure creation, change management, and coordination with HRBPs, executives and other key leaders.
Complete job evaluations for leaders, Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition to retain, reward and recruit key talent.
Assists and recommends job descriptions for new, modified, and consolidated jobs across the Company.
Market price new and modified jobs to validate and create a new or modified pay structure that includes base, short term incentives and equity review.
Provides guidance and consultation to HR Business Partners and Leaders regarding compensation, incentive design, regulatory and other compensation related programs.
Conduct reviews and recommends actions based on the Fair Labor Standards Act and state required compensation regulations.
Performs advanced compensation analysis with recommendations to identify trends, and other requests.
Creates incentive and commission plan design and implementation as required.
Develops compensation communications and training materials to support various programs and changes.
Assesses the impact of compensation changes as they affect budgets and revenue. Recommends options regarding program design, costs and including alternative approaches.
Prepares compensation administrative guidelines, policies, and procedures for the organization.
Partner with the HRBP and business to plan, develop, and implement a compensation remodel related to job profiles, market pricing, titling, leveling, and associate mapping.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience Requirements:
7 years of compensation experience including Job architecture, market pricing, financial analysis and FLSA reviews.
Candidate must have experience in large scale compensation projects which included leading a project team, developing change management implementation plans, communication plans and other project related duties.
Experience in market pricing tools such as CompAnalyst, Mercer, and Culpepper etc. preferred.
Prefer experience in Oracle.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
Advanced Excel expertise required. (Includes pivot tables, graphs, Indexing, vlookups and other advanced functionality).
Excellent experience in PowerPoint and Word.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills a must.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Must be able to create and present graphic presentations of data for executive leadership review.
Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight timelines.
Experience using Microsoft teams and SharePoint.
