Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. As an Azure Data Architect, you will play a key role in defining data architectures, data models, and data integration strategies to support our business objectives. Your expertise in Azure data services and architectures will be instrumental in driving the successful adoption of cloud-based data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data architectures on the Microsoft Azure platform.

  • Design end-to-end data solutions that encompass data ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, and visualization, leveraging Azure data services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure Analysis Services.

  • Develop data models, schemas, and schemas-on-read patterns that align with business needs and enable self-service analytics and reporting.

  • Define data integration and ETL/ELT strategies using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, or other data integration tools to facilitate seamless data movement across heterogeneous data sources.

  • Implement data governance, security, and compliance measures to ensure data privacy, integrity, and regulatory compliance in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

  • Architect data pipelines and workflows that support real-time and batch data processing requirements, enabling near-real-time analytics and insights.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering teams in the implementation and optimization of data solutions on the Azure platform.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to design and implement scalable and resilient data architectures that meet performance, availability, and disaster recovery objectives.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Azure data services and architectures, incorporating best practices and emerging technologies into data solution designs.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect with expertise in designing and implementing data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.

  • Strong proficiency in Azure data services including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, and Azure Analysis Services.

  • Solid understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling techniques, and data integration patterns.

  • Experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks in Azure, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Policy.

  • Proficiency in data integration and ETL/ELT technologies such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, or similar tools.

  • Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning concepts, and experience with Azure Machine Learning and Azure Cognitive Services is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Microsoft Azure or related technologies (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect).

  • Experience with cloud migration projects and transitioning on-premises data solutions to Azure.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) in Azure.

  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong online presence in the Azure community.
