Job Title: Associate, Warehouse
Reports To: Supervisor, Warehouse
Position Location: Charleston, SC
FLSA Status (Exempt/Non-Exempt): Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
To perform the duties assigned in the designated area of the warehouse based on training and skill set. Assigned areas are: Receiving, Unloading, Repack, Returns, Stock Put Away, Picking, Packing, International Packing, Shipping, Loading, and any clerical functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Handles necessary warehouse equipment in assigned area of work
Must be able to perform at the minimum acceptable performance level for assigned area (95% of set standard or better in assigned area)
Must be willing to perform multiple functions
Work in a safe and orderly manner
Offer suggestions for continuous improvement to supervisor or management
Maintains department standards for attendance, efficiency, productivity, and quality
Follows all established safety procedures including wearing required PPE and maintaining 5S standards
Performs other duties as assigned
Education:
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited learning institution, or equivalent work experience
Experience:
- 0-2 years of prior relevant warehouse experience
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Must have experience working in an automated warehouse environment preferred
Previous experience operating forklifts preferred
Strong math skills
Ability to read/speak English
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Work well within a team and maintain pace while ensuring high quality standards. Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction
Practices good housekeeping and keeps inventory neat, clean, and orderly
Meet and maintain high attendance standards
Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
Must possess basic keyboarding skills and understanding of Microsoft Office products, and the ability to use email
Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressure, within deadlines or other time essential constraints
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the organization
Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization
