PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Support delivery performance to schedule for all master scheduled items under the position's control. Achieve a stable production environment throughout the planning horizon by balancing supply and demand. Achieve cumulative cycle time reduction for master scheduled items under the position's control. Support local sponsored initiatives as required by the Materials Manager.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

The position is responsible for scheduling, capacity requirements planning, material analysis, and planning, new product introduction, change control coordination and execution, purchase part requisitioning, supplier scheduling, lead time reduction, inactive and obsolete inventory dispositions, and effective measurements.

Major challenges include the maintenance of a stable and responsive schedule to meet customer requirements. Major emphasis is to be placed on increasing manufacturing throughput, reducing lead time, increasing inventory turns, and improving customer satisfaction.

Position operates within the Sales and Operations Planning Committee's approved product volume and production rates, plus all applicable company policies.

Internal contacts are Demand & Materials Manager, Operations Leadership, Project Coordination, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Finance, and Accounting. External contacts are limited to supplier interfaces with respect to capacity and delivery

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience in the Manufacturing or Fabrication industries

• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)

• Demonstrated Team Collaboration Skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PPT, and Project)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or Related Field

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes used to produce components and assemblies

• Familiarity with Compressor and Turbine Rotor Manufacturing Operations

• Experience with Baan or Similar ERP systems

• Experience with Advanced Work Packaging or Last Planner System

• Process Improvement certification in 6 Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar

• Experience with Primavera 6 or similar project scheduling tools

• Demonstrated experience in Master Scheduling and Material Planning.
