Fortive Corporation Continuous Improvement Lead (FBSL) in Chandler, Arizona

We are hiring immediately for a full time Continuous Improvement Lead (FBSL). With a culture rooted in continuous improvement, this role is mission critical.

In this role, as Fortive Business Systems (FBS) Leader within the Business Operations Team, you will oversee the FBS activities of the engineering and product team, delivering continuous improvement with sustained positive impact on the organization and its performance. Your functional coverage will grow over time.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the L1 leaders in your functional area to define priorities. Attending key business reviews to sustain alignment on priorities. Help advance the conversation during these reviews through the lens of FBS.

  • Ensure a strong connection of the FBS work in your area to L1 KPIs and L1 TTIs (Policy Deployment).

  • Act as a catalyst to deploy and support the appropriate use of FBS tools. Provide coaching to the leadership team on the relevant tools to use to achieve business objectives.

  • Support the development of existing and future FBS champions. Ensure we have the appropriate mix of FBS expertise through these champions to support long-term business needs. Support connection of these champions with Organization Talent Assessment (OTA) discussions.

  • Ensure we have the appropriate kaizen bench to achieve business objectives; maintain that bench through the centralized kaizen funnel. Support the execution of these Kaizens as appropriate.

  • Ability to build followership and lead through change management.

  • Process mindset, with track record of process deployment on the scale of PacSci EMC or equivalent.

  • Robust experience with FBS or equivalent, in particular with value stream mapping, daily/visual management, problem solving, funnel management and transactional process improvement.

  • Good understanding of the diverse sales cycles and go-to-market techniques related to being a defense contractor.

  • Some exposure to New Product Development or equivalent technical processes.

  • Experience working with most functions at PacSci EMC or equivalent, and in managing the intricacies of cross-functional processes that span across these organizations.

    Education and Experience:

  • Certification in Fortive Business Systems or equivalent and/or up to 8 years of related experience.
