Description:

• Responsible for set-up and operating machine tools to create / modify ceramic parts for direct sale to a customer.
• Set up, operate and do basic programming of CNC 3/4/5 axis CNC Mill Machines --- MAY be operating up to 7 CNC's a time/
• Must be able to interpret and use blueprints for specific piece design, as well as calibrate equipment to follow product specifications. Follow strict company and industry safety regulations, as well as a tightly controlled sequence of functions and equipment programming functions. 
• Must be able to communicate effectively with other machinists and supervisors, as well as attend regular training sessions for updates on equipment use.
• Act as a Cell Lead coordinating day to day activity and provide training to team members on relevant industry processes and equipment operations safety
• Must be self-sufficient and work well with minimal supervision, and must be able to detect and correct program errors in a timely fashion.
• Properly and safely load and unload raw materials in CNC machinery, as well as change out tools as required.
• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
• Must be able to report progress to the production supervisor in their department.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• 5 plus years CNC experience with CNC Mills
• Computer Literate and Knowledgeable about tools and tooling
• CNC programming knowledge
• Must have experience calibrating calipers and micrometers. Ability to use other small tools.
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds without strain --- Size and weight of parts are similar to a manhole cover --- approx 24" in circumference and 1/4" inch thick
