Description

We are a well-established construction company in Chandler, AZ, seeking a Contract Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage software and a strong background in accounts payable processes within the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently using Sage software

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness

• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts

• Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic transfers

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

• Maintain vendor relationships and address inquiries

• Assist with month-end closing procedures

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

• Prepare and analyze AP reports as needed

• Collaborate with project managers and vendors on financial matters

  Requirements

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience in the construction industry

• Proficiency in Sage accounting software

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

This is a fully in-office contract position located in Chandler, AZ. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in our finance team, ensuring accurate processing of payments in a construction environment.
