Description Are you seeking employment at a well-respected organization as an Accounting Clerk? Robert Half has an opening for an Accounting Clerk, whose main responsibility would be to support the daily functions of a department. The Accounting Clerk obligations will consist of matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary employment based in the Cape Saint Claire, Maryland area.

Your responsibilities

• Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit

• Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

• General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

• Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

• Post financial information to journals and ledgers

• Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

• Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

• Excellent data entry skills

• Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

• Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred

• Account reconciliation experience preferred

• 401k - RRSP Administration experience

• Invoice Processing experience

• Foundational knowledge in ADP Online

• Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven knowledge of QuickBooks
