The Role

KBR are currently seeking a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Logistics Officer to ensure that the correct equipment is available and in the required quantity, when and where required, to fully support a new and innovative multi-partner collaborative ICT service delivery program.

The primary focus of this role is to provide Distribution, Asset Cataloguing, Spare Inventory Management, non-technical maintenance and disposal management into a multi-disciplined Defence program. The SCM Logistics Officers will use Military Integrated Logistics Information System (MILIS) and or Tivoli Asset Management Information Technology (TAMIT) to drive SCM across transition and service delivery phases.

Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Provide training on Supply Chain Management tools and technology (e.g. TAMIT, MILIS, LNIDS).

  • Ensure the items are fit for purpose, meet the power, weight, heat and size requirements, pass the Land Material Safety Manual (LMSM), Defence Seaworthiness and ICT Technical Regulation requirements

  • Coordinate warehousing and transportation of goods with OEM suppliers or existing Defence supply-support facilities and distribution services

  • Use the Defence Integrated Distribution System (DIDS) to manage distribution of supply Items

  • Support transportation of Defence equipment between military operation and exercise areas, including ships/platforms

  • Arrange safe hand distribution of classified material

  • Manage packaging in accordance with DEF(AUST) 1000C standard including waste from packaging

  • Manage the codification and cataloguing of Defence Assets

  • Maintain Defence asset information contained within TAMIT and or MILIS

  • Assist in 6 monthly reconciliations with CIs within the Configuration Management Database

  • Develop and maintain an asset inventory level, including accuracy of records within TAMIT and or MILIS

  • Approve Asset transfer or Asset procurement requests

  • Conduct surface maintenance (dusting/vacuuming, charging etc.)

  • Immaculate presentation and communication skills

  • Manage Scheduled Electrical Integrity Testing (EIT) and tagging of physical assets

  • Check all Assets are sanitised prior to re-use or disposal

  • Oversee disposal process and provide approval/sign-off for disposing Assets

  • Coordinate disposal of Assets

  • Update Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and relevant Asset management systems and provide reporting and required certificates for items that have been securely disposed of.

    As the ideal candidate you will bring:

Essential:

  • You have SCM experience that demonstrates repeated success to ensure that critical hardware, spares, consumables, support and test equipment, training equipment, and materials are available at the necessary time and place to ensure each Defence Deployed ICT ecosystem achieves its operational objectives.

  • Defence recognised SCM qualifications highly regarded

  • Supply Chain Management tools and technology (e.g. MILIS, TAMIT) highly regarded

  • Previous experience in Defence Warehousing operations and stock control with relevant qualification in Warehouse Operations and Record-keeping

  • Forklift License (Desirable, but not Essential)

  • Intermediate level of knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.) with experience with inventory and planning software packages

  • Excellent organisation, time management, and accuracy when multitasking across multiple activities and deadlines

  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team under limited supervision, prioritising tasks, following through to completion

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels including internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, building trusting, respectful and resilient professional relationships

  • Ability to problem solve and analytical skills with the ability to reason logically especially during high pressure situations

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong customer focus and be responsive to customer and other Partners needs

  • Experience/knowledge of Tunnel & Maintenance operations are an advantage

  • Experience with ASDEFCON and commercial activities within the Department of Defence (Desirable, but not Essential)
