    Job Description

DIRECTOR FOR DATA GOVERNANCE, ANALYTICS AND BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE (DGABI), Business and Digital Transformation Office (BDTO), to lead MIT’s data, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives and direct Institute-wide strategy for quality data management and governance. Will interact directly with leaders across MIT to enhance data governance, analytics, and business intelligence with a focus on initiatives and projects that result in quantifiable business impact; report directly to the chief officer for BDTO and partner with MIT’s IS&T (Information Systems and Technology) organization and stand up a new team to support data management and governance; assist with choosing the right tools and technologies to enable data governance and implement the overall data governance, analytics, and business intelligence program; and deliver integrated reporting and analytics capabilities to stakeholders across the Institute.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least ten years of progressive and closely related experience; at least five years of management-level experience; experience with the design and implementation of complex data solutions in support of large-scale transformation programs; experience evaluating data requirements and developing data standards and integration approaches and alternatives; experience designing data management/stewardship organizations and developing business cases associated with improved data quality; successful track record of effectively managing relationships with senior executive stakeholders and of leading and successfully implementing large scale change and innovation initiatives related to data; and excellent interpersonal, communication, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
