Job Description

Insight Global's client is looking for a remote Sr. Kubernetes Developer that will be processed for a Top Secret clearance. This person will be responsible for designing and implementing Kubernetes-based solutions optimized for edge computing environments Develop custom Kubernetes operators to automate complex operational tasks specific to edge deployments Optimize Kubernetes for low-latency, considering constraints like limited bandwidth and intermittent connectivity Integrate edge Kubernetes clusters with core infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow and management Implement security best practices for edge deployment- including network policies and access controls Contribute to open-source projects related to Kubernetes and edge computing. This candidate will also be mentoring junior developers on Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong proficiency in developing and maintaining Kubernetes operators

• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes

• Expert-level knowledge of container runtimes (e.g., Docker, containerd, CRI-O)

• Advanced programming skills in Python, Java, or Go

• Experience with cloud solutions and building Kubernetes Experience with lightweight Kubernetes distributions like K3s or MicroK8s

Knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP) and edge-to-cloud communication patterns

Familiarity with AI/ML workloads on Kubernetes, especially in edge contexts

Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd) in edge environments

Understanding of 5G networks and their integration with edge computing null
