Job Description
Maintenance Person - Overnight (Without Ticket)
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, addressing any issues efficiently and effectively.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
Monitor the building automation system to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment inventory and work orders (Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repair activities, work order and equipment inventory)
Assist with preventive maintenance programs to prolong the life of equipment and minimize downtime.
Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs as needed.
Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal, landscaping.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to guest services.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications
Must be available to work weekends
Working knowledge of computerized Building Maintenance Systems is an asset
Working knowledge of HVAC and A.H.U. systems and chiller operations
Minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
Must be able to work effectively in a high pace environment
Strong communication skills and a willingness to work in a team environment
Must be willing to learn, self motivated and be comfortable working in a technically demanding environment
Further training will be required and provided as it relates to property specific systems
Constant standing and walking throughout shift
Must be willing and able to perform duties of a physical nature- often required to push, pull and lift heavy items (greater than 20kg)
Frequent standing and walking throughout shift for up to 8hrs
Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
