The Generative AI (GenAI) group is building the next generation generative models for Microsoft. We are looking for Data Engineers who are passionate about building high performance and reliable data pipelines with cutting-edge technologies to perform data manipulation and online measurement for building our generative models.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of Individual Contributors and working closely with outlining vision and charter for the team

• Work with other leaders and partners in the org to identify opportunities for impact and work with team to deliver

• Work on building and operating cloud native deep learning training platform.

• Design and maintaintooling and run, monitor and optimize training workloads.

• Work closely with data scientists and researchers on continuous training performance and efficiency.

• Provide support to data scientists and researchers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams and managing people.

• Proven record of delivering impact with team work.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.

• Technical and engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, Go, C, C++, C#, or Python.

• 6+ Years' Solid experience in building and maintaining reliable and scalable services/platforms.

• Experience in production scale distributed systems.

Additional preferred:

• Experience in building Machine Learning/Deep Learning systems.

• Solid experience with Kubernetes or other similar cloud native orchestrators.

• Engineering excellence tooling and disciplines.
