In this role, you have the opportunity to
join our Software verification team as a Software Test Engineer to ensure and improve the high quality of our Patient Monitoring and General Care product solutions by developing and performing test cases and scenarios.
You are responsible for
Review product specifications/requirements and designs from a test point of view and work close with system engineering.
Design, develop and execute automated and manual test concepts and test cases for our Patient Monitoring system and solution and General Care applications.
Record, analyze and track defects.
Create test reports and documentation and ensure traceability between product specifications/requirements to verification.
Close cross-functional collaboration with teams from software development and our global SW verification team.
You are a part of
the Software and System Testing team which ensures the SW quality of the Patient Monitoring and General Care product solutions withing the Hospital Monitoring Group. Thereby you will work in a cross-functional team and in close collaboration with other global engineering departments.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, biomedical engineering or other relevant engineering field. An ISTQB Testing Certification will be considered an advantage
You have 3+ years’ of engineering experience in a software, software testing and/or systems testing engineering capability, preferably in the medical device industry or other highly regulated industry. Experience in software development or test automation is mandatory with experience with C# or python to be considered an advantage
You possess a good understanding of the software development life cycle
You have experience with software verification processes (design controls) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) & related test automation tools (i.e., Cucumber, Gherkin / SpecFlow)
You have experience working within an Agile team (desirable)
You have experience in test management in TFS / Azure DevOps; CI / CD & DevOps, Git and with requirements engineering (i.e., Cameo) (desirable)
You are a Self-starter, willing and able to quickly learn new applications and technologies. You have a high quality awareness and willingness to take ownership.
You have very good interpersonal and communications skills and strong written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus).
