Job Description:

The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine is currently seeking an experienced NP or PA to join our Cardiovascular Medicine team at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Burlington MA. The successful candidate must be able to interact positively with all members of a multidisciplinary care team, patients and their families and possess the emotional intelligence to work collaboratively in a fast paced, high-acuity environment where quality, collegiality and caring come first.

The AP would be responsible for participating in daily rounds with an attending cardiologist, writing H&Ps and orders on all admissions from the emergency department, procedural and outpatient areas and all outside transfers, developing daily therapeutic plans and writing all progress notes, as well as coordinating multidisciplinary discharge planning and writing all discharge summaries. Additionally, the AP would be the primary team contact for consult services, nursing and ancillary staff. Required skills include competent clinical assessment skills and decision making, managing and coordinating emergency situations collaboratively with nursing and house staff, ordering and interpreting appropriate labs, ECGs, diagnostic testing and procedures.

Schedule : per diem

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program

  • Licensure in the state of Massachusetts

  • Current BLS/ACLS Certification

  • Preferred experience with Cardiology patients

  • Preferred EPIC medical record system
