Bandy Manufacturing Shipping Clerk/Warehouseman in Burbank, California

Job Objectives

Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute raw material to the shop floor as required by the dispatch report

.

Ensure all products are shipped to the proper customer, with proper instructions and all required export compliance documentation, in a timely manner according to the open shipment report. Assist ID and Assembly/Warehouse Lead as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Duties

:

  • Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and safe manner; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.
  • Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identify material, issue material per job order, and feedback discrepancies to the planner.
  • Accurately store product to proper location; using a forklift, pallet jack or other lifting device as required.
  • Package and ship all material on open shipper to ensure product is shipped within 24 hours.
  • Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment in a manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers' instructions.
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical duties such as daily cycle counts, pull stock inspections and perform material purges as required .
  • Prepare OP product for pickup/delivery. Verify count and correct product is prepared per PO. Ensuring product is packaged for safe delivery to its destination.
  • Assist in ID and Assembly as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Adhere to all company safety practices and procedures including safe operation of equipment used in warehouse.
  • Required to perform basic math; read and follow instructions; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions.
  • Be computer proficient (Windows/MS Office/ERP)
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment (especially at month end)
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid California Driver License class C with a good driving record with no accidents or tickets.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, pallet jacks, forklifts, and push carts, in the manner necessary to move materials and consistent with manufacturers' instructions and safety instructions.
  • Ability to abide by safety instruction and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) or its equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of basic warehouse procedures
  • Ability to follow procedures for receiving, selecting, packing, and shipping.
  • Ability to Communicate with other team members.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to successfully comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements.

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in a shipping department/warehouse.
