Title: Software Engineer II

Job Location: 1 Seneca St. 17th Floor, Buffalo, NY 14203

DESCRIPTION:

Transform data assets into business insights using SQL, Hadoop, Python, Informatica DEI, DevOps, CA Automic, Mainframe, Flat files, JSON, and XML; perform scripting in UNIX/LINUX environment; utilize ETL/ELT to build data pipelines that contain data processing, data enrichment, data storage, data provisioning, data consumption, data archival, data quality, data lineage, data security, and other related capabilities; complete and oversee basic to complex systems analysis, design, and development; collaborate with other development, operations and technology staff on technical analysis and user acceptance testing; prepare and review test data and execute detailed test plans; perform debugging; maintain operation and effectiveness of supported applications; prepare, process, and analyze data to drive operational, analytical, and strategic business decision; create, modify, and maintain code for BI/DW data flows; build end-to-end data flows from sources to data sets; locate and analyze source data, create data flows to extract, profile, and store ingested data; and validate data content.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing software using SQL, Hadoop, Python, Informatica DEI, and DevOps; scripting in UNIX/LINUX environment; and utilizing ETL/ELT to build data pipelines; and one (1) year of experience using CA Automic, Mainframe, Flat files, JSON, and XML to load data from various systems.

Salary: $141,812.50- $151,812.50 per year.
