RiseBoro Homecare Inc. Activity Specialist in BROOKLYN, New York

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide specialized instruction in art, photography, cartooning, dance, or martial arts.

  • Create and implement a syllabus and pacing calendar for the school year that is based on outcomes.

  • Be prepared to put together a performance piece or portfolio of the students’ work for showcases and celebrations.

  • Help youth to develop healthy self-esteem, decision-making skills, respect, discipline, and physical fitness interests.

    COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple relationships

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Willing to go above and beyond program mandates for the benefit of the children.

    EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.

  • Candidate must possess a degree or training in their field or have at least two years’ experience teaching young people this discipline.
