Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, works with occasional supervision, and from broad guidelines and objectives, the primary duty of this position is to develop and implement technology solutions with a product quality focus. The fast-paced environment allows the opportunity to explore new, innovative solutions and implement them both within the quality team as well as company-wide. As part of working for Milwaukee Tool, you will assist in the launch of many new, exciting products that deliver unique solutions to our end-users in a highly cross-functional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conceive, plan, organize, and coordinate technology-driven solutions of assigned special projects leveraging cross-functional teams from inception to completion.

  • Configuration and Setup of automated inspection and Sorting equipment

  • Implementation of Quality 4.0 projects ( Machine Vision, Data Digitization, AI / ML, Augmented Reality)

  • Identify and implement expanded opportunities in data collection for Process and Product.

  • Manage the creation of digitally integrated work instructions and control plans for special projects.

  • Implement expanded traceability in special projects and industrialize solutions for future use.

  • Maintain Up-to-date knowledge of new industrial automation trends/techniques.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management of Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience

  • Previous Experience or willing to learn Machine Vision, Robotics, or Industrial automation

  • Knowledge of at least one programming language required (C#, SQL, Java, Python, IOS, .NET, LabView, or Visual Basic)

  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time is required (travel includes Domestic and International)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills and creative problem-solving capabilities

  • Experience and knowledge using power tools is preferred

  • Ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Knowledge of quality management principles preferred
